Los amigos de mis amigos / My friend´s friends

Los protagonistas de esta obra son jóvenes cubanos entre 21-30 años, los nacidos en los 80´, establecidos fuera del país. Jóvenes que alcanzando  o no sus metas aún necesitan mantenerse en contacto con otros cubanos para recordar viejos tiempos.
Un asiento amorfo pero confortable está relleno con los perfiles de Facebook de jóvenes cubanos que residen fuera de su país de origen. Por una zona descosida salen algunos de los papeles que sirven de relleno. El asiento estará acomodado como si alguien hubiera estado sentado allí. En una proyección ubicada detrás de este se suceden páginas con sus propios perfiles de esta red social y mensajes que estos jóvenes se envían entre sí. Mensajes con información que los une como generación de cubanos: comidas, animados, juguetes, lugares, libros, historias…

The center of this piece is young Cubans between 21 and 30 years old, born in the 80´s, established out of the country. Young that reaching or not their goals they need stay in touch with other Cubans to remember old times. They are part of a quiet and vast migration from our cultural landscape towards the world. An amorphous but comfortable sit is filled with the young Cubans printed facebook profiles that reside out of the country. By a ripping area some of those papers came out. The sit with a round shape is situated like if someone were sitting there. In a projection located behind this sit, we are able to see fragments of pages with messages sent between them. Messages with information that unite them as a Cuban generation: meals, cartoons, toys, places, books, stories…
